A new store listing for Shadow Man Remastered suggests it will be coming to Xbox this week.
The remaster of the critically acclaimed 1999 Acclaim title was already confirmed to be coming to the PS4 on January 13 and the Nintendo Switch on January 17, but an Xbox release date has still yet to be announced.
However, a new listing on the Xbox store and achievement list have been spotted by True Achievements, with the game’s release date listed as January 13, the same as that of the PS4 version.
It should be noted, however, that this date has yet to be officially confirmed by the game’s developer Nightdive Studios.
According to the listing, Shadow Man Remastered will be an Xbox One title as opposed to an Xbox Series X/S title, but will also boast Xbox One X enhancements such as 4K resolution.
Based on the Valiant comic book series, Shadow Man was originally developed by Acclaim Studios and released for N64, Dreamcast, PlayStation and PC in 1999, before Nightdive republished it for PC in its original form in 2014.
The Remastered version was announced in March 2020 and released for PC in April 2021.
“Shadow Man Remastered follows Michael LeRoi, the current holder of the voodoo warrior moniker ‘Shadow Man’, as he battles the forces of darkness attempting to cross-over from their realm into the world of the living,” reads a blurb for the game.
“Join Michael as he fights his way through the swamps of Louisiana, the back alleys of New York City, and the dark and terrifying land of Deadside in his mission to keep supernatural threats from invading the land of the living.”
Shadow Man Remastered is powered by Nightdive’s KEX engine, which was previously used to restore games including System Shock, Turok and Forsaken.
