Seth Rogen hilariously reacts to the Pineapple Express drink at Jack in the Box, calling out the fast food chain for one of their menu items. Rogen co-wrote the 2008 stoner comedy of the same name with his producing partner Evan Goldberg and developed the story with producer Judd Apatow, who previously collaborated with the duo on Knocked Up and Superbad. Rogen also starred in the film as process server Dale Denton who must go on the run with his weed dealer Saul after witnessing a murder committed by a corrupt police officer and a local drug lord.
Alongside Rogen, the ensemble cast for Pineapple Express included James Franco, Danny McBride, Gary Cole, Kevin Corrigan, Craig Robinson, Rosie Perez, Ken Jeong, Amber Heard, Ed Begley Jr. and Nora Dunn. Directed by David Gordon Green, the film received generally positive reviews for its scattershot humor, chemistry between Rogen and Franco, the latter of whom earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance, and action sequences, while some criticism was directed towards its overlong second half. Pineapple Express was also a commercial success, grossing over $102 million against its $26 million budget and has developed a cult following in the years since.
