Killing It is a new comedy series from the executive producers of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dan Goor and Luke Tridici, that is all about the pursuit of The American Dream.
The series, streaming now on Peacock, stars Craig Robinson - who not only worked on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but The Office as well. His character Craig is looking to start farming saw palmettos for their medical benefits, which is a story that was inspired by Del Tridici’s father, who is a botanist.

The duo spoke to Screen Rant about where the idea for Killing It came from and opened up about how the America Dream is explored through its hilarious cast, which includes Claudia O’Doherty (Our Flag Means Death) as an optimistic Australian Uber driver named Jillian, Rell Battle (Superior Donuts) as Craig’s brother Isaiah, and Scott MacArthur (The Righteous Gemstones) as a rival and social media influencer named Brock.
Screen Rant: Luke, you read about python hunting almost a decade ago. What was it that stuck with you and made it a great premise to tell an American Dream story?
Luke Del Tredici: They started doing these python hunts in Florida. They're a real thing, and I just read about it when the first of these python hunts was introduced. It's such a… I'm terrified of snakes...
The thing that really stuck with me was it wasn't just wilderness [experts], swamp hunters, and professional naturalists who were going out and doing it. It was regular people who were tempted by what was, at that point, a very modest prize. I believe in the beginning it was, like, the winner of the python challenge got an ATV the first year.
