Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the most recognizable video game characters and franchises in the medium, ever since his creation by SEGA in the 90s. One of gaming's biggest icons that stood in direct competition to rival mascot Mario, his appearances spread into various other media such as comics, anime, and theatrical films. SEGA then announced late last year that Sonic is becoming a VTuber as well, in order to interact with fans in a whole new way. This was shortly followed by his best buddy Tails «Miles» Prower also joining him as a cohost.
For the uninitiated, VTubers, which is short for «Virtual YouTuber,» are a category of livestreaming personalities who utilize a digital avatar to interact with their audience. VTubers have seen plenty of success in the last couple of years, where they can portray themselves as a fictional character thanks to motion capture and rigging technology. It's no surprise that SEGA is capitalizing on this with Sonic and Tails becoming VTubers, with the first iteration of the English dubbed debuts of these characters being on TailsTube, hosted by Tails himself.

This first episode was shown off recently, with Tails hosting the stream alongside Sonic, where he answers a variety of questions from fans, though it's evident that these questions and answers are pre-written. That said, the questions and answers themselves are asked by various characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise through an in-universe Twitter clone which highlight some fascinating lore and answers a couple of theories that fans may have had.
One of these theories is the infamous «Two Worlds» canon of the franchise, which was based on comments from Sonic Team
