Sega Announces 11 More Games for Mega Drive Mini 2

Sega has unveiled 11 more games for the Mega Drive Mini 2, a new mini-console set to release in Japan on October 27. The Mega Drive Mini 2 is the follow-up to the console known as the Genesis Mini stateside, a machine with a vast collection of 42 games. The original launched in the United States and Japan simultaneously, but there are no public plans for a North American launch of the second generation mini-console.

Here are a few names that Genesis fans will recognize among the newly announced games. The second entries in the and series are welcome additions to the lineup, as is the 16-bit rendition of. There’s still hope for an American version of the system packed with retro hidden gems. Still, the console is already shaping up as a great collection, even as an import-only proposition.
