Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Seriescontinues to pay homage to the original films during its third season. With the Wildcats heading off to summer camp and singing their own rendition of «What Time Is It?» in the Season 3 trailer, it feels safe to say that there will be more than one nod to the second movie.
While many fan-favorite characters are set to return, the series has also taken the opportunity to add some fresh faces. Maddox (Saylor Bell, New Girl andStation 19) and Jet (Adrian Lyles) are two of the newcomers who will be joining the Wildcats during their time at camp. However, whether they'll be embraced with open arms or viewed as competition in this season's production of Frozen, remains to be seen.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series stars Saylor Bell and Adrian Lyles chat with Screen Rant about their characters' introductions to the show.
Screen Rant: You're both new to this season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. What can you each tell us about your characters?
Saylor Bell: My character's Maddox, she pretty much is the heart and soul of this camp. She is more excited than anyone to be there. It is her home. She is doing everything to make sure it all goes right and that everyone's having fun. She wants to do her little traditions.
She kinda gets lost in them at some point, but there's a lot of character development with her as you see that she kind of becomes this person, who just actually really just wants to have fun at camp, and she meets these new people. But I think that everyone is gonna be really excited to meet Maddox and how, like, silly and just geeky she is about this camp.
