The RuneScape team continues to request community feedback on the promised Hero Pass rework, and shares progress on tweaks of the current Underworld pass. This comes alongside news on the RuneScape tabletop games, a new charity bundle, and events.
Recently, the team asked the community for their thoughts on what would improve the Hero Pass. This was done instead of a poll in order to get a wider variety of experiences as well as to actually hear player thoughts on what they want to see. The dev team has announced two changes. In response to feedback, the Hero Pass will now take less time to complete and is rebalanced to take about 40 hours. To accomplish this, they’ve reduced the required point totals required for levels 100-120 back down to match the totals for 1-99.
The second announcement is a major one. As promised, Daily Challenges will be back in one week on October 9th. The team has found a way to get them back the way that they were, with keys, lamps, and streak rewards. Since the lamps will be back in the daily challenges they are being removed from daily missions to keep those two systems now separate as requested.
The RuneScape tabletop games are now open for preorders. The partnership between Jagex and Steamforged Games includes the RuneScape Kingdom TTRPG and the RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg board game that lets you journey in Gielinor and experience quests, skills, monsters, and more.
RuneScape has two important charity-related announcements. In October, they’re donating 100% of the proceeds from Solomon’s Store and the marketplace in October to their two mental health partner charities, Blueprint For All and RAD (Rise Above the Disorder).
Separately, there’s a new charity bundle in support
