Pokemon Home's announcement in 2019 was a major step forward for the franchise. The app, which is available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, offers a free cloud solution for collecting Pokemon across multiple different games in the franchise. There's been a problem since, however, which is that Game Freak hasn't updated Pokemon Home to support more recent games in the Pokemon franchise. That may be changing soon, however, as a Nintendo Insider is hinting at an update arriving as soon as April.
Nintendo Insider SamusHunter2 shared their report on Twitter, stating that they were told recently that Pokemon Home would soon be updated for multiple recently released Pokemon games. The list of games to be added in the update includes both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond andPokemon Shining Pearl, the two most obvious choices. The remakes ofPokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl are both highly demanded inclusions on Pokemon Home.

In what is certain to come as a surprise to many Pokemon fans, the report also claims that Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be supported on Pokemon Home. This is unexpected because Pokemon Legends: Arceus features a completely unique system for catching and collecting Pokemon compared to other games in the series. It's comparatively very easy to catch manyPokemon in the game. Connecting that to the Pokemon economy in other games is surprising to hear.
