Today a new product appeared on the Battle.net app, a Tech Test for Rumble. While testing for future versions is not unheard of, this one has a differential: it is listed for Windows instead of mobile.
Blizzard added a product to the Battle.net app for Rumble development back in February, but originally, it only had versions listed for mobile platforms.
However, in an update today, a new version was added, with its platform listed as Windows. While this isn't any sort of confirmation, it means that we might see a native playable version of Rumble for Windows without the use of mobile emulators.
It is possible to trick the Battle.net app into seeing the product to confirm it is in the catalog.
Note that this doesn't allow you to play the development version. Thanks, MaxtorCoder for the image.
Looking at the catalog, the current entry for Rumble has its platform listed below
supported_platforms":
The new product just added is different, having the following listing:
{«fragment_id»:«gryphon_test_gry»,«products»:,«supported_regions»:},«id»:«GRY»}],«version»:29}
Which implies it is a test version of a Windows-based Rumble app.
Note that, as with everything in development, this could be canceled, delayed, or changed, so take it with a grain of salt.
Are you excited to possibly be able to play Rumble on your computer instead of your phone?
