Rocksteady will release Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s final update in January, less than a year after launch. The team shared the news in a new blog diving into Season 4’s new episode on the way tomorrow, the final update to come, offline mode, and more as they close development onthe underperforming game.
We're getting a new playable character in tomorrow's new season update, Control. Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, joins the roster as a tactical assassin known for his swordsmanship. He's a guy you want to turn to if you want close range, fast melee combat. He's also trained to use assault rifles, shotguns, and sniper rifles so he can also be lethal at long range.
There's more on the way in tomorrow's update, including new weapons, new items, and refreshed rewards for the battle pass.
Yet, as things draw to a close, all eyes are on update 8,which is set for next month. The final update will continue to have all of the online features available as well so if you want to continue playing co-op, you can do that. Or you can just play offline.
For a game that fell short, in part due to the disappointment over the always-on live service requirements, offline mode feels only natural.
Offline mode is coming and you'll be able to experience all released content, including the story campaign and all of the added seasonal story missions. You can use your existing online profile and copy it if you want to keep all your progress and jump in at any time, or you can create a completely new profile. Any owned cosmetics will also be available. Rocksteady even has an offline mode FAQ to get you prepared.
