Rockstar has officially announced GTA VI but the official press release only mentions a 2025 launch for consoles and lacks any mention of the PC version.
In the latest press release shared by Rockstar Games, the game publisher has confirmed that the next-generation GTA, aptly named GTA VI, will be released in 2025 for the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X & S consoles. The trailer was released just a few hours ago and introduces us to the two main protagonists of the game along with a first look at the beautiful Vice City in all its next-gen visual galore.
However, one thing that the press release is missing is any mention of the PC Version of GTA VI. The PR can be read below:
Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VIis coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.

While nothing about the GTA VI PC version is official yet, it looks like the release might be delayed and pushed into 2026. This would be similar to what we have seen with previous releases of GTA games with the most recent example being GTA 5 which was first released in 2013 (September) but landed on PC more than a year later in 2014 (November).
