Rocket League is getting Star Wars content for the first time this week.
The free-to-play racing game has enjoyed a large number of crossovers in the eight years since its initial release, but none of these have featured Star Wars until now.
Four separate ‘Droid Packs’ will arrive on May 4 (also known as Star Wars Day), each containing a decal for an existing Rocket League car and other accessories.
There’s also a Droid Bundle which includes all four packs and extra bonuses.
Each pack is based on a different droid from the Star Wars series – R2-D2 and C-3PO from the original trilogy, BB-8 from Episodes VII-IX and K-2SO from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Over the years, Rocket League has seen a wide range of crossover content, with cars and accessories from the likes of Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, DC Super Heroes, Knight Rider, The Goonies, Karate Kid, E.T., Hot Wheels and The Fast and the Furious.
Each console version of the game also has exclusive crossover cars – the PS4 version has Sweet Tooth’s car from Twisted Metal, the Xbox version includes Gears of War and Halo themed cars, and the Switch version includes Mario, Luigi and Metroid themed cars.
The full details for each Star Wars pack are as follows:
