Screen Rant is excited to exclusively present the key art for Rob Zombie's upcoming reboot of The Munsters, coming soon from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production arm of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group. First reported to be in development March 2021, the newest iteration not only features stars from the original series and fan-favorites from other iconic franchises, it will also be in full color unlike the original black-and-white series from the '60s.
Despite the vibrant color though, the first teaser trailer released for The Munsters proved naysayers and fearful fans wrong by capturing the spirit of the original. 1313 Mockingbird Lane stood proudly as the familiar theme music played and each member of the Munsters family came outside in their own unique way. Since that first tease, audiences have eagerly awaited follow-up hints as to the plot and themes of the new reboot, and they have been rewarded with detailed images that give a better look at Herman, Lily and Grandpa. The lack of Marilyn and Eddie thus far, meanwhile, suggests the film may be a prequel.
