The Munsters DVD Trailer Reveals New Footage of Rob Zombie Reboot
A new trailer for The Munsters announces a Blu-ray and DVD release date for the movie and reveals new footage from Rob Zombie's reboot. The musician-turned-director is best known for his work in the horror genre, including the Firefly trilogy and the Halloween remakes. Zombie is now at the helm for The Munsters movie, directing a script he also wrote which tells an origin story for the famous monster family from the 1960s sitcom of the same name. Officially rated PG, The Munsters marks Zombie's first non-R-rated film.
Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie lead the cast as Herman and Lily Munster alongside Daniel Roebuck as The Count. Additional cast members include Game of Thrones' Richard Brake, Lost's Jorge Garcia, The Hobbit's Sylvester McCoy, and Elvira's Cassandra Peterson. The Munsters movie will focus on the crazy courtship between Herman and Lily. Her father, The Count, has other plans for his daughter's future. When he catches wind of the Transylvanian romance, The Count plots to separate Herman and Lily for good. Zombie recently announced that The Munsters will stream on Netflix around Halloween. Now, more details about the movie's release have been unveiled.

Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for The Munsters, which announces a Blu-ray, DVD, and digital release date of September 27, right in time for spooky season. The Munsters trailer also features some new footage from Zombie's reboot. Check out the trailer below:
