The End Is Nye Trailer: Bill Nye Takes on World Ending Disasters
Bill Nye returns to television — streaming this time — in the trailer for his new series, The End Is Nye. From the mind of celebrated scientist, educator, and climate change advocate Bill Nye, the new series will explore various events that could lead to global disasters. Nye is best known for his work on the iconic children's show Bill Nye The ScienceGuy, which sought to not only educate but make learning fun for children. The hugely successful show garnered 19 Emmy awards, with Nye's humor and teaching style capturing the hearts and minds of both kids and adults. Now, fans have a first look at his new series.
Peacock recently premiered the trailer for The End Is Nye, set to begin streaming on August 25th. The trailer reveals the show will be a 6-part docuseries, with each episode exploring a different potential path to the world's destruction. The trailer sees Nye battling extreme weather, fiery comets, world leaders, nuclear war, and a gaggle of other threats to the planet. Watch the official trailer for The End Is Nye below:

While the world ending is quite a dark topic to tackle, Nye seems the perfect fit to discuss the gloomy subject matter. His humor and charming presentation of the facts can make complex societal and environmental issues understandable. It appears Nye will offer positive solutions to the less-than-cheery subjects at hand, as the trailer promises, "we can save (the earth) with science." Perhaps The End Is Nye will educate and inspire old and new generations alike to want to make a change and save the planet.
