In what I truly hope will be the weirdest news story of the day, Tony the Tiger of Frosties cereal fame is set to become a Twitch VTuber. This follows a worrying trend of brands using Twitch to advertise their products using the digital aesthetics made by streamers.
Tony is going to be playing a battle royale game on Twitch this Friday, August 19, with a group of other streamers, in an event called 'Tony the Tiger's GR-R-REAT CEREAL BOWL OF GR-R-REATNESS', according to Yahoo. This is a partnership between cereal maker Kellogg's and Twitch's Brand Partnership Studio. Tony will be the first-ever brand mascot Twitch has turned into an interactive VTuber, and we doubt he'll be the last.

"Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and Tony the Tiger are always looking for ways to connect with lifelong fans and the next generation of cereal lovers," said Sadie Garcia, Kellogg All Family Cereal's director of brand marketing. Somehow, the way settled on was via Twitch.
Perhaps the most cursed aspect of this whole endeavour is Tony's milk-cooled PC. Words escape us. The evil scientists at Kellogg's spent so much time asking if they could do it, they didn't stop to consider whether or not they should do it.

Some on Twitter think this move is going to backfire horrifically. One user reminded us of a similar event where "the twitter account had to block literally every furry it saw. this is such a bad idea."
