HBO's The Righteous Gemstones has hinted at a possible romantic relationship between Kelvin and Keefe since season 1, but it would be a mistake for the show to actually make them a couple. So far, The Righteous Gemstones season 2 has mainly followed the Gemstone children vying for control of their father's ministry while Eli Gemstone deals with problems from his sordid past. The Righteous Gemstones often implies there might be a hidden attraction and/or secret romantic relationship between Kelvin and Keefe, without the show ever openly discussing it. Season 1 ended with Kelvin rushing to win Keefe back, tracking him down at a Satanic sex club after the roommates have a falling out. The sequence parodies the typical large romantic gesture often found at the climax of romantic comedies, though Kelvin and Keefe are back to their usual ambiguous relationship in season 2. Will they ever become a couple, or will Kelvin and Keefe’s relationship remain ambiguous for the show's run?
