Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s third major expansion pack dubbed Dawn of Ragnarok takes you to the dwarven realm of Svartalfheim, and you’re once again controlling Havi (Odin). Surtr, Lord of Muspelheim joined forces with the Ice Giants of Jotunheim and conquered the world of the dwarves while taking Baldr, son of Havi, hostage.

Havi initially travels to Svartalfheim to rescue his son, but things don’t go as planned, and he works together with the dwarves to become stronger and defeat Surtr, once and for all. While The Hugr-Rip is a powerful addition to your arsenal, you also learn four new abilities in the DLC through Books of Knowledge.
Dawn of Ragnarok follows the same formula the base game does in regard to how Books of Knowledge work. There are four new abilities introduced with the expansion, and a total of eight books to unlock and upgrade each ability.
Each new ability has two books you can discover at any stage in the game. The first one you collect unlocks the skill, and the second Book of Knowledge you acquire upgrades that specific new ability.
This Book of Knowledge is located in Svaladal, locked inside the Sol-ok-Mani Vault. You must solve the light beam puzzle to get the door unlocked, but you can only solve this puzzle at night — during daytime the light beam will be inactive.
You’ll find two orbs in this location, the one in the lava is the one you need to use in order to solve the puzzle. Aim the light beam at the next orb that hangs from the side of the wall on the left. Change the direction of the second orb (with your bow) until the light beam hits the plate above the vault door.
