The mad genius Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty has done and invented a lot of absurd things over his career, but two of his most famous creations, the Council of Ricks and Operation Phoenix, were outright stolen from a classic Marvel villain: Kang the Conqueror.
Rick and Morty is a successful animated show that airs on AdultSwim, created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Rick Sanchez is a scientist who invents a portal technology that lets him travel through time, space, and dimensions. Because there are infinite parallel universes, more versions of Rick were bound to invent the same technology and meet each other. A group of them decides to band together and form the Council of Ricks to protect one another from their enemies across realities, and build a secret fortress and headquarters known as «The Citadel.» Rick also invents another technology that he calls Operation Phoenix, which makes him essentially immortal. Every time Rick dies in any dimension, his mind is automatically uploaded into a cloned body in one of his labs, who wakes up with Rick's full memories and personality. As impressive these things seem, Marvel's Kang did both first.

In Avengers: Forever by Kurt Busiek, Carlos Pacheco, Steve Merino, and Jesus Merino, a group of Avengers taken from different points in time becomes involved in the machinations of Immortus and Kang, two versions of the same individual who has mastered time travel. Kang is a warrior who enjoys only conquest and being challenged, while Immortus is a future version of him who has appointed himself as guardian and overseer of the timelines.
