Knives Out 2 will arrive on Netflix «this holiday season» according to writer-director Rian Johnson, who also shared that the film's title is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Johnson announced the new title, and shared a couple of details about the film on Twitter.
Discussing famed detective novelist Agatha Christie as an inspiration, Johnson said: «She was constantly stretching the genre conceptually. Under the umbrella of the whodunnit she wrote spy thrillers, proto-slasher horrors, serial killer hunts, gothic romances, psychological character studies, glam travelogues.» Added Johnson, «When I made Knives Out, that's what excited me about the prospect of making more mysteries with Daniel [Craig] as Benoit Blanc--to emulate Christie and have every film be like a whole new book, with its own tone, ambition, reason for being.» Check out the teaser Johnson shared, which reveals the sequel's title.

In the upcoming sequel, Craig's Benoit Blanc will head to Greece to investigate a new mystery. Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline round out the ensemble. Johnson is producing with Ram Bergman.
As more final information about Glass Onion begins to make the rounds, it also clears the way forKnives Out 3 to begin to come into focus. According to a 2021 report, Johnson, Bergman, and Craig were paid $100 million each for both films.
In addition to the Knives Out sequels, Johnson is also developing Poker Face, a 10-episode mystery series for Peacock that will star Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll). Johnson had a Star Wars trilogy in the works,
