Season 3 of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City began filming in late January and Mary Cosby was nowhere to be seen. Several cast members from the franchise have been in the news lately for a variety of reasons. Jen Shah is facing criminal charges regarding her business, newcomer Jennie Nguyen is doing damage control after racist social media posts from 2020 were discovered and Mary herself made waves due to her own racist remarks and subsequent absence from the season 2 reunion. Fractures between the cast mates have deepened in recent weeks due to both on and off-screen drama.
Mary has been under fire recently due to racist remarks she made to fellow cast member Jennie, including one in which Mary referred to her "slanted eyes." Jennie, a Vietnamese American, was incensed by the terminology and took Mary to task in front of the other women, most of whom agreed with her assessment. In a strange twist, Jennie is now in the process of trying to clean up her own image as a result of racially insensitive posts she made during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. Viewers can't believe Jennie's posts weren't unearthed sooner. One responded, "This is getting ridiculous. Bravo needs to start vetting these people better. Someone should be going through all these posts before they even consider hiring the person." Tne response to her posts, along with one missing OG cast member, will likely be covered in season 3.
