The third entry in 4A Games' Metro series has sold more than six million copies to date.
As announced via the Metro Exodus Twitter account, it was revealed that it had hit this sales milestone within the last three years. Furthermore, the title has "millions more players" than that, presumably a reference to the game being on Xbox Game Pass.
Metro Exodus was released on February 15th, 2019, and was initially only available on Epic Games Store on PC. At the time, this caused a fair bit of controversy, not least because the title had been available for pre-order on rival platform Steam before.

"Together we're millions of players – let's make it millions more"
Metro Exodus came to Steam 12 months later in February 2020 and sold 200,000 copies within its first few days.
