Jennie Nguyen's short journey on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake Cityis over, and her former co-workers are reportedly relieved. Jennie joins a list of one-hit-wonders that couldn't fit in with the other women; honorable shoutouts go to RHOBH'sJoyce Giraud and Carlton Elizabeth, and RHOA's Kim Fields. Jennie is also not the first housewife to post or share misinformation online, with many Real Housewives personalities criticizing the country's response to COVID-19 since the beginning. While some viewers demand the same fate for other Bravo women guilty of the same behavior (The Real Housewives of New York City's Ramona Singer is at the top of the list), Jennie's fall from grace gains no sympathy from the remaining RHOSLC housewives.
Jennie was relatively liked by viewers during her first and only season until last week when a Facebook account associated with her became public. Littered with racist statements and other offensive remarks surrounding the 2020 murder of George Floyd and Black Lives Matter, Jennie quickly attempted to smooth over the intense backlash by issuing an apology; as expected, the fallout was massive, with Jen Shah, Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay and Whitney Rose condemning the star on Instagram. Despite the ladies being at odds throughout RHOSLC season 2, the rest of the cast came together to reject Jennie's social media activity and subsequent social attitudes. Even Mary Cosby and Jen, who have feuded since the start of RHOSLC, seem to be on the same page, though Mary herself has made questionable statements towards Jen and Jennie.
