Taylor Armstrong, a former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17. Taylor first appeared inRHOBH season 1 and seemed to have the perfect life with her husband, Russell Armstrong, and their daughter, Kennedy. However, former RHOBH star Camille Grammer shocked the housewives when she declared that everyone knew that Russell was physically abusive to Taylor. Although she initially denied it out of shock, Taylor later confessed that it was true and that she had been suffering from Russell’s abuse for years.
Prior to the RHOBH season 2 premiere, Russell died by suicide. Fans rooted for Taylor as she tried to pick up the pieces and remain strong for Kennedy. Following season 3, she left the show while still making occasional cameos. However, after Taylor married her former lawyer, John Bluher, she led a more private life in Colorado for a year and eventually settled down in Orange County. Taylor returned to the small screen for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 and reminded viewers why she was such a fan-favorite.

In a first for the franchise, Taylor will be crossing over to RHOC for season 17. According to People, this will be the first time in the history of the Real Housewives franchise that a cast member from one show will be joining another show. RHOC season 16 was not well received by viewers, and many demanded a cast shakeup. Newcomers Jennifer Armstrong and Noella Bergener were fired after their debut season, and there were rumors that Bravo was bringing back an old cast member.
