It received a hefty chunk of positive reviews from both critics and audience, but it still feels like it was lost in a crowd of similar boomer shooters. Playing as an unnamed patient in an asylum, the game sees you descending into a nightmare as you learn more about the mysterious pasts of both the protagonist and the asylum in a game filled with eighty unique weapons, a mix of randomly-generated and pre-designed levels, and upgrades earned through various mini-games via gold to collect, among other things. Nightmare Reaper arrives for Xbox and PlayStation platforms on May 11, and should be something for console games looking for a unique FPS to check out.
