Monster Hunter Wilds appeared during the latest State of Play, but support for the PS5 Pro isn’t yet confirmed. On the bright side, Capcom’s Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 remake will leverage the console, as confirmed in a new PlayStation Blog post.
Resident Evil Village will receive a 120 FPS mode while utilizing the console’s “ultra-high-resolution technology” for the “highest sense of immersion.” It’s unknown whether this refers to PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution technology, but the promise of higher-resolution gameplay with faster frame rates is enticing.
As for Resident Evil 4 remake, it will also run at a higher frame rate and leverage the same “ultra-high-resolution technology” for “detailed environments” and visual effects that “look more natural and beautiful” than before.
Resident Evil Village is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. It’s topped 10.1 million sales as of June 30th – check out our review here. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 4 remake is available for the same platforms (sans Xbox One and Switch) and has sold over 7.6 million units. You can read our review of it here.
