One aspect of Resident Evil that tends to go often understated is the character designs. Leon Kennedy, in particular, has gone through various costume design changes over the course of the installments he has appeared in. From Leon's R.P.D. uniform in Resident Evil 2 to the bomber jacket seen in Resident Evil 6, Leon has had many different looks, but many consider the jacket he wears in Resident Evil 4 to be the most memorable. Resident Evil 4 Remake Trailer Reveals Release Date, Darker Tone
Over on Reddit, a user named redgrave187 noticed a small disclaimer message at the bottom of the Resident Evil 4 trailer. The disclaimer mentions that Leon's jacket is used with permission from a clothing brand called Schott NYC. After doing some additional research, the user found out that the jacket is actually available on the Schott NYC website and can be purchased for $1,795.00.
For most players, paying nearly $1,800 for a jacket is quite the ridiculous sum, but in a way, it's incredible that an item from a real-world clothing brand is being used in a video game. Then again, this isn't the first time this has occurred, with developers like Hideo Kojima inserting clothing and eyewear from various brands into games like Death Stranding
