Remedy says Quantum Break is leaving Game Pass but ‘will be coming back’
Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Quantum Break will soon be leaving Xbox Game Pass, but that it will only be temporary.
Reports earlier this week suggested that the game was set to be removed from the subscription service, despite being an Xbox exclusive which was published by Microsoft.
In a tweet by the official Remedy Entertainment Twitter account, these reports were confirmed, but Remedy went on to explain that the removal won’t be permanent.
Instead, Remedy explained that the delisting from Game Pass is due to licensing issues, and that the game will return once these have been resolved.
“Don’t worry, Quantum Break will be coming back to Game Pass,” the tweet reads.
“It is being temporarily removed due to some licences that expired that were in the process of being renewed. We will let you know as soon as it is back.”
Remedy is currently working on a number of sequels and remakes.
In November it confirmed that its project previously known as Codename Heron is actually Control 2, which will be co-developed and co-published with 505 Games and will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The company also previously announced plans for a co-op multiplayer spin-off set in the same universe, which is currently codenamed Condor and is being developed by Remedy’s ‘Vanguard‘ team.
As well as its Control titles, Remedy is also working on remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, which will be sold together as a single package and released on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
A sequel to Alan Wake is also in full production, with Remedy saying in February that the game had reached the stage where it’s playable from start
