Microsoft might very well have teased a Forza Motorsport Summer release on Twitter earlier today.
The new Forza, or Forza Motorsport 8, as some call it, from developer Turn 10 Studios, will be a soft reboot for the franchise. As covered last month, the racer is currently in the polishing phase and will be released later this year. The highly-anticipated game was first slated for a release this spring, but back in January of this year, it became clear that this release window was no longer a lock.
So, aside from knowing that it releases somewhere this year, we don't have an actual release frame for Turn 10's new Forza - until today. At least, that's what might be discerned from a recent tweet from the official Microsoft Game Dev Twitter account earlier today. Yesterday, the head of the Turn 10 Studios, Alan Hartman, took to Twitter to show the brand-new Ford GT. In the tweet, Hartman wrote "Come on sunshine!!", accompanied by the #Forza tag.

More interestingly, however, is the response from the Microsoft Game Dev account, which replied with, what looks like, a tease for a summer release in the coming months. "Who else is ready for summer", the tweet from the account reads.
While this doesn't directly confirm that the new Forza Motorsport is indeed releasing somewhere between the end of June and the end of September, this timeframe does make sense. On the other hand, we have a few heavy hitters coming in early June in the form of Diablo IV, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in late August, and, of course, the highly-anticipated Starfield on September 6.
