Redfall's launch has been disastrous. Not only did it release to an overwhelming number of negative reviews on Steam, but it's also the lowest-rated game that developer Arkane Studios has ever made. You can't scroll down social media for two minutes without someone making fun of the game's shockingly bad AI or fans angry at the baffling lack of online matchmaking, and Arkane will likely want to ride out the storm and take the hard lessons it's learned into it's next project as quickly as possible.
However, it's not just Arkane feeling the effects of Redfall's rough launch, as Xbox's reputation has taken yet another bruising. The publisher can't seem to buy a critically-acclaimed high-profile title at the minute (despite Microsoft's best efforts), and Xbox's reputation for releasing stinkers has Starfield fans a little worried. Bethesda's massive, spacefaring RPG is the next big exclusive Xbox has lined up, and fans are slightly worried that it might be game over for the platform should Starfield be anything other than perfect.

Bethesda is a high-profile developer with critically acclaimed titles like Skyrim and Fallout 3 under its belt, but Redfall's failure proves that just because a well-renowned developer is attached to a project, it doesn't automatically mean success. There are plenty of Xbox fans across social media voicing their concerns about Starfield simply being attached to Xbox, and the potential pressure that Bethesda is under to produce a title that is nothing short of perfect.
