Red Dead Redemption will be coming to Switch and PS4 next week, it’s been revealed.
A new trailer posted on the Rockstar website says the port will be released on August 17.
It will cost $49.99, and will also include the Undead Nightmare DLC. A physical edition will be released on October 13.
“Experience the epic Western adventure Red Dead Redemption and its groundbreaking zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, as both games come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for the very first time in a single package,” a statement from Rockstar reads.
“In a new conversion by Double Eleven Studios, the Switch and PS4 versions bring the two classic experiences together again for both new players and original fans to enjoy across modern consoles, including backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 5.”

The game is already available on current Xbox systems, due to the availability of the Xbox 360 version on the Xbox store. Both the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X/S generations of consoles can play the 360 version via backwards compatibility.
Rumours around a re-release of Red Dead Redemptioncirculated last month when the game was classified by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee, which has a history of revealing upcoming titles prior to their official announcement.
A Rockstar insider who has previously leaked accurate information about the company’s games claimed last year that remasters of Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption were once planned but had since been scrapped.
