Despite having been released a few years back, very few open-world games look as good as Red Dead Redemption 2. On PC, however, the game can look considerably better than it does on consoles, thanks to some excellent mods.
A new 8K resolution video put together by Digital Dreams showcases the latest entry in the series running with the Visual Redemption mod, a visual overhaul developed by Razer Mods, the same team behind the excellent NaturalVision Evolved mod for Grant Theft Auto V. Needless to say, the weather system overhaul, improved shadow distance, improved water reflections and all the other changes introduced by the mod make a huge difference.
The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has become, over the years, the definitive version of the second entry in the series by Rockstar Games, as it is not only the version of the game that looks best but also because it is the only one that runs at 60 frames per second and above, as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions haven't been updated to take advantage of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles to deliver, at least, a smoother framerate.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One worldwide. Learn more about one of the best open-world games ever made by the Grand Theft Auto series developer by checking out Alessio's review.
