Today, Razer has announced the release of two new variants to its BlackWidow V4 Pro that was previously released this year. The BlackWidow V4 and BlackWidow V4 X expand the line with some variations based on price and desires. Aiming for immersion with this year’s peripherals, both of these keyboards will include the Razer Mechanical Switches Gen-3. These are also offered with Green Clicky Switches for precise execution with the clicky feel and Yellow Mechanical Switches for smooth and silent execution.
The BlackWidow V4 offers vibrant Razer Chroma RGB lighting with an underglow that has been seen in the BlackWidow V4 Pro and the most recent Razer Chroma Pro gaming mouse. Completing the layout is six dedicated macro keys, the inclusion of Doubleshot ABS Keycaps, per-key lighting and the multi-function roller with four media keys. The BlackWidow V4 also supports 8000 Hz HyperPolling, 2-side underglow RGB lighting and the magnetic plush leatherette wrist rest for extended comfort during gaming.
The BlackWidow V4 X will bring the same functionality as the V4 along with secondary media keys and internal Sound Dampening Foam for reduction of pinging while gaming. It will not see the 8000 Hz polling rate option nor the magnetic wrist rest. The BlackWidow V4 also offers detachable USB-C cable and 5052 aluminum alloy construction, so the durability will be apparent and the V4 X will also be missing these features. With the three BlackWidow keyboards released this year and the V3 Mini Hyperspeed and V3 Tenkeyless, this is looking to be the go-to keyboard line for Razer as the immersive design continues to grow.
The BlackWidow V4 is available for $169.99 for Razer’s website, RazerStore locations and authorized retailers, today.
