Fuze is one of the few operators that is denied access to a shotgun, even after unlocking everything. As such, it's important for him to get back after placing his ability charge, since any surviving enemies will be best dealt with at range.

Though shotguns are often preferred by the community, those who level up quickly will find that the AK-12 is fantastic and much better than the default forever-to-reload LMG. Go ahead and focus purely on damage with the weapon as it will be used after enemies have been alerted, not before.
Fuze has two choices for handguns. One does more damage with fewer shots in the clip while the other does less damage with more shots. Due to this secondary weapon being reserved for stealth shooting, go with the one that does more damage.
Giving this operator a priority when it comes to upgrades is a good idea since it unlocks the PMM and the AK-12. The PMM does enough damage to kill an enemy with a weak spot shot in a single hit. The range is also good from anywhere on the map.
