London-based fashion brand Irregular Choice has recently announced its brand new collaboration with Pokémon, set to launch on April 29th. Since its release in 1997, Pokémon players have seen many brands collaborate with Nintendo to sell limited edition products featuring fan-favorite Pokémon such as Pikachu and Eevee. This, however, is the first time Irregular Choice has done a collab with Nintendo.
Pokémon is one of Nintendo's most successful franchises and has become a household name across the globe. Featuring hundreds of lovable pocket monster designs, it is no wonder that so many different types of brands reach out to Nintendo to form a collaboration lucrative for both companies. Independent artists who have been long-time fans of the series are also known to create their own unique Pokémon-inspired products that they sell online.

This new collection from Irregular Choice includes a pair of chunky heels as well as a handbag. The heels feature multiple first-generation Pokémon such as Jigglypuff and Squirtle, as well as a 3D Pikachu gleefully clutching the back of the shoe's heel. The multi-layered design is set against a rainbow sky and highlighted by emerald green sparkles along the heel bringing to mind a player's avatar finding wild Pokémon amongst tall grass. The handbag showcases cutouts of both Pikachu and Eevee as well as first-gen starters that have a corresponding rainbow background to match the pair of heels. This collection announcement comes on the heels of another recent collaboration between Pokémon and Build-A-Bear Workshop, wherein Leafeon was announced as another Pokémon fans of all ages could build and bring home with them.
