The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Trading Card Game Live--the digital version of the successful Pokemon TCG--will officially launch June 8 after a global beta test began back in November.
Pokemon TCG Live is a new and expanded digital version of the tenured tabletop game, and it allows players to build decks with cards received through the in-game store, battle pass, and obtained through QR codes found in real-world packs. The game will launch alongside the digital release of the next expansion set, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: Paldea Evolved.
Players who log in to the ongoing beta version of Pokemon TCG Live--either on PC or on a mobile device--will receive a free cosmetic set marked with the words «Global Beta.» The set will include a deck box, card sleeves, and a coin.
The official launch of the Pokemon TCG Live app will be preceded by the removal of its predecessor, Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, from app stores on June 6 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. Information on how to transfer an account from PTCGO to the TCG Live beta is available at the official Pokemon website.
The global beta for Pokemon Trading Card Game Live is now available for PC and mobile devices.
