In sets released in 2024, the pull rate for special illustration rare cards was 1 in every 90 packs. While the pull rate for is better than usual, this is offset somewhat by the large number of special illustration rare cards. There are 32 different special illustration rare cards in, meaning that there's a 1 in 1,440 chance of pulling a specific card.
In addition to special illustration rare cards and other standard rarities, also features two special foil treatments. Some reverse holofoil cards feature a Poké Ball foil treatment, while other cards feature a special Master Ball foil treatment. The Master Ball foil treatment is especially impressive as it's a textured foil and extends to the card's artwork. The set also contains several new hyper rare cards with an alternate treatment, with an etched look compared to the usual gold foil look.
