Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Sandwich Promo Draws Ire From Fans For Being "Just Groceries"
The Pokémon Company has revealed a new Mystery Gift promo code for but many fans are disappointed by the items they're getting this time around. are the latest generation of games, unleashing trainers onto the region of Paldea. Despite being released in 2022, the sister titles are still receiving support from the Pokémon Company in the form of regular events and gift promo codes.
The newest code, however, has players reminiscing about rewards from previous codes. The new «Paldean Picnic» Mystery Gift can be redeemed with the code P4LD3AP1CN1C for 5 Pickles, 5 Tomatoes, 5 Onions, 5 Hamburger, 5 Egg, and 5 Potato Salad. The code will be active until January 19, 2026, giving fans plenty of time to get their picnic goods. Many players are disappointed at the rewards this time around since all the items can be purchased for a low price in the game.
Previous codes rewarded players with more substantial gifts, from key items like rare candies to rare Pokémon. In a Facebook discussion of the Serebii.net code reveal, user William Pudelwitts notes, "" Others wish that the items were at least worth more or rarer acquisitions. Facebook user Brandon Papatie notes that the ingredients in the reward are "," and states that it "" referring to Herba Mystica that's used to increase the odds of finding a shiny Pokémon.

Even the beautifully animated trailer that accompanies the code reveal, as can be seen on GameTrailers, hasn't placated fans. The comments in the YouTube video are just as negative, with fans expressing confusion at why the code needs a trailer in the first place. Others state that the animation is better done than the actual game's animation, which was plagued at launch with odd visual glitches.
