For the upcomingPokémon Scarlet and Violet,leaks have been circulating about a new Eeveelution, and while those have seemingly proved to be false, Eevee will be receiving a new form. Eevee and its numerous Eeveelutions are fan favorites and have left many players continuously hoping for a new one to be introduced. However, fans will have to wait for an entirely new Eeveelution, though a new form for Eevee in Scarlet and Violet could temporarily satiate. These novel forms are due to the new Terastal phenomenon coming in the new games.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be taking trainers to the Paldea region for the ninth generation. With a new region comes a new gimmick, this time being the Terastal phenomenon. When a Pokémon undergoes this change its type will change to whatever its Tera type is. Generation 9 will bring Pokémon 18 Tera types, along with the assurance Pokémon are not locked to a single Tera type. This brings the potential bore of always fighting the same Pokémon and same strategies to a lower level. The other notable change is a Terastallized Pokémon will have a Tera jewel appear on its head, symbolizing the transformation.

While each Pokémon in the new games will have the ability to Terastallize, Eevee and the new flexibility around it is sure to attract attention, whether simply due to the adorableness factor, or if its potential relevance to the competitive aspect of the game.
