Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Giving Away Special Garganacl in New Distribution Event
The newest distribution event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet features a special Garganacl with a moveset inspired by one of the games' first regional champions. Distribution promotions have become a staple of the Pokemon franchise since its earliest days with Legendary and Mythical Pokemon often only being available through events. The introduction of online gameplay has seen the variety of these giveaways widen with Game Freak more easily able to give away Pokemon with unique movesets and abilities. Now, Game Freak is honoring the newest Pokemon games' first champion.
The introduction of online play has seen Pokemon's competitive community blossom with even more ways for players to battle with one another. The franchise first introduced «Rating Battles» in Pokemon Black and White with each new game featuring a Ranked queue for players to compete for the top rank. The most recent games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, revealed their own «Ranked Battle Series» shortly after launch as a full-fledged Ranked season for the Pokemon games. The newest distribution event looks to commemorate Jiseok Lee, winner of Scarlet and Violet's first regional championship.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battle Series 2 Making One Big Change
An update from popular Pokemon website Serebii shares more details about the special Garganacl, honoring the winner of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's inaugural San Diego regional. The defensive Garganacl sports a Poison Tera Type and comes holding Leftovers with a defensive moveset featuring Salt Cure, Recover, Wide Guard, and Protect.
