While the entire premise of Pokemon is catching creatures so you can force them to fight each other for sport (not so cute and fluffy when you see it written down in black and white, is it?), fans are encouraged to do other things with their Pokemon pals. There's an entire series of videos where CGI Pokemon accompany a man as he cooks which I would highly recommend. Barring the use of some slick VFX skills, that's not a reality you can experience, but you can pick up some stuff from Pokemon's new kitchenware collection for the next best thing.
Pokemon revealed its new collection via some images in which Lucario and its restocked jumbo Psyduck plushes are helping out. For some reason the Psyduck has also been added to the kitchen section of the Pokemon Center site, I'm assuming since it has been featured in the promotional materials. All of the actual kitchen products released this week are Pikachu-themed, making most of the items predictably adorable.
The collection is made up of 17 Pikachu-themed items, all of which are available to buy through the Pokemon Center right now. My pick of the bunch is the Pikachu salt and pepper shakers. Let your own feelings about salt and pepper dictate which one you use for each seasoning.
Part of Pokemon's expansive kitchenware collection, these salt and pepper shakers are modeled after the most famous Pokemon of all, Pikachu. One of them looking very happy, and the other a little cheeky.
A close second on the adorable meter is the Pikachu butter dish. The Electric-type is lying on its front on the dish's lid, head on its hands and looking up at you like it's about to say, "So, what do you wanna talk about?" You know, if Pikachu could actually talk. Hey, maybe it's the Detective Pikachu version of the Pokemon and it can talk to you. Just make sure you don't keep the dish
