Mega Medicham is back in as a 5-Star Raid boss, and you'll need to assemble the best counters that can exploit its weaknesses to win. It's not the most intimidating boss of that level in the game, but its high CP and balanced Attack and Defense stats can easily take unsuspecting Trainers by surprise trying to go at it solo with an ill-fitting team. With that, Mega Medicham can take a good bit of damage as well as take it, meaning you will need to put together the right team to come out on top.
This is the case for many bosses in the latest Raid boss schedule for this month, where beating one of the high-level contenders on tougher raids may require more players and a specific type. With Mega Medicham's dual Fighting- and Psychic-typing, some counters for one type could easily be thwarted by its unique moveset. Be that as it may, there are still plenty of options for putting the right team together.
As Mega Medicham is a dual Fighting- and Psychic-type Pokémon, it has not one weakness, but three: Ghost-, Flying-, and Fairy-type attacks, just like in the mainline games the boss is featured in, but inflicting 160% damage compared to normal. Super-effective damage varies in damage compared to other games, but it is still a great amount to utilize to deplete as much health as fast as possible.
