There's a new Special Research available in Pokémon Go for trainers to clear. Currently, the Alola to Alola event is active, spawning tons of Pokémon from Sun and Moon into the game more frequently. There are also a solid handful of challenges to clear, offering rewards upon their completion. Although, this Special Research will need to be unlocked first. It will only be available once the player has cleared the other four Alola-themed quests from the season, centered around the four islands from Alola. Trainers have until Wednesday, June 1st, to clear out those other missions to unlock this quest for free. Otherwise, the player will need to purchase it from the shop for $4.99.
The Alola to Alola event in Pokémon Go will be active from Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. While most extra bonuses like more Alola spawns will be cut off after the event is over, the Special Research will remain in the game until the trainer clears it. Like all Special Research in Pokémon Go, this one acts to add more exposition to the world and Professor Willow's research. However, the thing that makes this one so interesting is that it acts as a choose-your-own-adventure game.

Once the player reaches step two, they'll have to decide between Melemele in Pokémon Go, Akala, Ula'Ula, or Poni.
