A new PlayStation 5 system software update is now live, introducing Activities improvements, among other things.
The 24.07-10.20.00 system software improves the console's Activities feature. From now on, each activity will display In Progress, Not Started, or Completed, depending on its current status, with spoilers continuing to be hidden even after these changes. The new system software also brings the usual unspecified performance and stability improvements and enhanced messages and usability on some screens.
The previous major PlayStation 5 system software update, update 24.06, was released last month. It introduced some new features to the system, such as the Welcome hub, personalized 3D audio profiles, Remote Play improvements, and more. The Welcome hub is a personalized space on the console's home screen that can be customized with different widgets that display the console's storage, battery levels for accessories, online friends, trophies, and more. The Remote Play improvements include the option to enable Remote Play for select users on the system.
The latest major PlayStation 5 system software update also introduced some changes that impacted several games, such as Final Fantasy XVI, requiring Sony to release another firmware update to address the issue.
More information on the latest PlayStation 5 system software updates can be found on the console's official website.
