PlayStation 5 Pro Is In The Works For A Late 2024 Release – Rumor
The PlayStation 5 Pro is apparently in the works, and it will release late next year, according to a new report shared online today.
This new report shared today by Insider Gaming reveals that a big PlayStation 5 hardware revision is currently in the works, which will be released sometime in late 2024. According to one source, the rumored system revision supporting the detachable disk drive is apparently only the beginning of new PlayStation hardware coming in the future.
As for how the PlayStation 5 Pro will differ from the base model, no one can say. As noted by Insider Gaming, a recent patent by Marc Cerny suggests that Sony is looking into improving ray tracing performance.
While Insider Gaming proved to be extremely reliable in the past, we have to take today's report about the PlayStation 5 Pro with a grain of salt. If the hardware revision supporting the detachable disk drive is real and coming this year, it may be some time before Sony reveals more on the beefed-up model of its current generation console.
Alongside working on the console's hardware, Sony is also working on introducing new features and improvements to the current PlayStation 5 models with system updates.
