The Recipe Rat is one of the puzzles that can be found in the Zskera Vaults. We go over how to successfully negotiate with this rat for the Ratcipe: Deviously Deviled Eggs recipe! The Recipe Rat is a small, chef's hat-wearing rat creature that can sometimes be found in the Zskera Vaults. Picking up the rat allows you to begin negotiations with it Torn Recipe Scraps.
However, negotiation has a five-minute cooldown, and if you don't have any reason for the rat to stay around, it will leave. In order to prevent the rat from abandoning you, you need to fill your bags with cheese. Fine Aged Cheddar, to be exact.
Unfortunately, the Dragon Cheesemonger in Valdrakken does not stock this particular cheddar, so you might want to visit Miwana in Orgrimmar (/way #85 39.2 48.4) or Elaine Trias in Stormwind City (/way #84 66.4 73.4) if you want to carry the rat around with you. Negotiating with the rat has a cooldown of five minutes, and will grant about 2-7 scraps at a time. The rat gets hungry and we noticed it eating every 2-3 minutes, so if you don't have cheese in your bags, it will leave.
Thankfully, it doesn't take recipe scraps with it and you should still be able to find it again where you first picked it up in your vault. Once you have 30 scraps, you can combine them for the Ratcipe: Deviously Deviled Eggs recipe. Deviously Deviled Eggs grant 76 in a primary stat for an hour, making this recipe a great alternative to Fated Fortune Cookies or any of the feasts! Honestly though, even if the recipe was worthless, watching your character negotiate with the little rat is worth it all on its own.
