Perry Mason season 2 will take place in 1933 and is reportedly halfway through filming. The crime series focuses on the series' titular character, portrayed by Matthew Rhys, a private investigator who is based on a character of the same name by author Erle Stanley Gardner. Perry Mason has previously been brought to the small screen numerous times, most notably in 1957 with the popular Raymond Burr-led series. Perry Mason returned to television in June of 2020 with an eight-episode run that was well-received by both critics and fans alike. The series was quickly renewed for a second season the following July.

At the conclusion of season 1, Strickland's partnership with Mason came to an end, but it appears that the character will return in the second season in a recurring role. Read what Whigham had to say below.
«We're in '33 in Perry Mason. Perry is in the soup again, and he's gotta try to figure his way out. Hopefully, Strickland can help him navigate that.»
