Recent photos from the set of Disney+'s upcoming Percy Jackson TV series have given fans a new glimpse at the grounds of Camp Half-Blood. The highly anticipated streaming show is based on Rick Riordan's popular series of YA fantasy novels. The Adam Project's Walker Scobell will take on the titular role of the demigod child of Poseidon, while Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri will play his best friends Annabeth and Grover, respectively.
In Riordan's novels, Percy is taken to Camp Half-Blood, a camp for the demigod children of the Greek gods, after learning the truth about his parentage. Camp Half-Blood is staffed by the centaur Chiron (to be played by Glynn Turman) and god Dionysus (Jason Mantzoukas), and was established to train and provide a safe haven for half-bloods. A key setting in Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, Camp Half-Blood promises to be one of the TV series' key locations as new and old fans are introduced to the world. Newly taken photographs from the set have given fans a new glimpse of the grounds.
