With the announcement of all the Gods & Monsters DC projects earlier this year, it was confirmed that some parts of the old DC Universe will continue. The upcoming Waller series is set to star Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. So, it’s safe to say that John Cena’s Peacemaker will also continue in Gunn’s new DCU.
The Waller spinoff will bring back many characters from Peacemaker. So, it will likely lead into the second season of Peacemaker. Considering that Waller might arrive in 2026 and James Gunn will be busy with Superman: Legacy until July 11, 2025, the next season can only begin development in the second half of 2025 or sometime in 2026.
