Payday 3 has had a pretty rough start. With some notable issues from the moment the game came out, developer Starbreeze has been promising an update to address some major concerns. Now, after a number of delays, version 1.0.1 has launched.
If you’ve got the time to spare, you can check out the patch notes for the game, which lists a bunch of fixes, tweaks, and quality-of-life changes. Everything from the audio to the visuals to the UI have been given some TLC, so Payday 3 should be in a better state now.

However, for those waiting on word about a possible offline mode for the game, there’s no mention of that here. That’s something the developer is considering, but we don’t know if or when it’s likely to be implemented.
With trouble connecting to matches, general bugs, and the aforementioned lack of an offline mode, Payday 3 received a lot of negative feedback at launch.
Despite promising an update, Starbreeze had to push it back a bit, describing the reasons for doing so as “long and complicated,” with particular concerns about risks to player progression.
As of now, the game is currently showing a “Mixed” review score on Steam. Maybe that’ll change now we have the new update. But who knows?
